St George's Clinical Research Facility
University Partnership and TACRI

The NIHR St Georges Clinical Research Facility works closely with City St Georges, University of London and St Georges University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to support high-quality clinical research that can improve patient care.

This partnership brings together clinical expertise from the hospital with academic knowledge, research training and scientific innovation from the university. Together, we help support studies from early ideas and feasibility through to delivery, publication and real-world impact.

A key part of this partnership is the Translational and Clinical Research Institute, known as TACRI. TACRI is a joint virtual institute between St Georges University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and City St Georges, University of London. It supports researchers at all levels to develop collaborations, build research skills and deliver clinical research across a wide range of specialties.

Through TACRI, researchers can access training, academic support, statistical advice, collaboration opportunities and guidance to help design and deliver high-quality studies. This strengthens the link between research and patient care, helping new discoveries move more quickly from idea to clinical benefit.
