Our long history of working with partners
The CRF has established strong links with industry, ranging from Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) to major pharmaceutical sponsors. Individual PIs have worked hard to establish us as a preferred provider for commercial contract research and we will capitalise on this and our exceptional access to a large and diverse population.
Examples include Vaccines, Neurosciences, Oncology, Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Diabetes where early phase commercial research is well established. Longstanding strategic partners include Moderna, GSK, Pfizer, Sanofi Pasteur, VBI Vaccines, Minervax, Novavax, AZ, Gilead, Janssen, Abbvie, Roche as well as evolving relationships with preclinical companies (e.g. Aligos, Altimmune).
Access to specialist equipment including St George’s CRF has a range of highly specialised equipment in the facility to support the delivery of early phase translational and experimental medicine studies, including a well-equipped CRF Laboratory.
We also sit at the centre of St George’s Hospital, which is a large acute hospital, which covers most clinical specialties. There is a strong strategic partnership with St George’s University.
Support from specialised laboratories, biobanks and advisory services. We offer industry partners the rapid translation of research into standard clinical practice, via expertise, knowledge and infrastructure that we have at St George’s. This includes:
- Extensive research infrastructure and project management expertise
- A 150+ strong workforce of research nurses with experience in developing and delivering trials with industry
- Access to over 1.3 million patients, with ethnic and socioeconomic diversity including well characterised patient cohorts
- Expertise in medical devices
