Our Clinical Research Facility offers 11 clinic rooms, dedicated on-site laboratories, and modern office and storage space to support high-quality clinical research. Our facilities are designed to provide a safe, calm and professional environment for patients, families, staff and research partners. Behind the scenes, our spaces support a team of 45 staff members delivering research across a wide range of studies.

Our Clinical Research Facility includes 11 purpose-built clinic rooms designed with patient comfort, safety and experience at the heart of everything we do.
Whether you are attending a research visit or accompanying a loved one, our clinic rooms provide a calm, reassuring and high-quality environment. Each space supports safe and professional care, helping patients and families feel welcomed and supported from the moment they arrive.
On-site laboratory
Our on-site laboratories support the cutting-edge research taking place across the facility.
These purpose-built spaces allow our teams to carry out immediate sample processing, secure sample handling and long-term storage to the highest standards. The laboratories support a wide range of studies, including early-phase trials, vaccine research and complex sample handling.
With specialist equipment and controlled environments, our laboratories help ensure scientific accuracy, participant safety and reliable research results.
Office space
Behind the scenes, our office and storage areas help our research teams work together efficiently and effectively.
Our non-clinical spaces include open-plan offices, meeting areas, dedicated space for trial monitors and secure storage for study materials. These areas support collaboration, productivity and smooth study delivery across the facility.
With 45 staff members working across the Clinical Research Facility, our office and storage spaces play an important role in helping every study run safely, professionally and to a high standard.
A satellite research pharmacy is located within the CRF, established specifically for vaccine trials, managed by the nursing team and overseen and audited by the research pharmacy team. It is in a separate, temperature controlled, swipe access room. This enables trials vaccine storage for immediate use and home visits and contains two temperature controlled, continuously monitored fridges, a quarantine fridge, a freezer, a temperature monitored and locked drug cupboard, a drug preparation facility and a locked cupboard for pharmacy unblinding files.
Our location
The CRF is located on the ground floor of Jenner wing at the centre of the hospital as you can see from the map below. To reach the hospital, you can walk from Tooting Broadway Tube (Northern Line and National Rail) or use our onsite car park, with access from Blackshaw Road.
